1975 Chrome Matthews Monoshock

This is one of my prized possesions, a 1975 Matthews Monoshock, original shock, with CYC MX60 Mags. The mags were an option when ordering the bike. I wish I would have sprung for the extra 23.00 it would have cost for the Girder forks. It has the Astabula gooseneck and forks, box bars, and Mesinger seat.

Re: 1975 Matthews Monoshock

Thanks for the positive feedback..... I soaked her in CLR for a couple of days and took a tooth brush to her. The mags are getting harder to find, lots of Lesters for sale, but not many MX60's. The seat is actually a Mesinger seat... I have quite a few other bikes to post, a 79 CYC, another Redline from late 70's, Schwinn Sting Ray BMX, and others.

I just picked up acouple of new projects to work on. A Race Inc. and a great find from a junkyard..... I was looking for some old VW stck steel rims for my 60 Ragtop and saw laying in a corner an old Femco steelie.... curious, I asked the ol timer if he had any other old BMX parts laying around. He said his sons were into it pretty heavy in the 70's.. then said he just hauled off a crap load of it to the scrap yard!!!!! mad I almost cried...... until he said there IS a shed around the back that may have some stuff in it..... we went to it and there I found an original G-BOY dated 76-474 on the BB. I jst about crapped my pants when he had all the original parts that his son used to build it.. AYAYA's w/Sunshine hubs, Mongoose double clamp neck, G-Boy Forks, alloy bars, Original Carlisle Aggressor MX 300 tires... etc. I asked him how much and he said "I'll take $50 for all of it.... SOLD:D I will post pic's of it in its current condition, as I need to restore it.
