2017 Framed Impact 18

First Framed Impact 18" on BMXMuseum.com

Bought this for my son for his first "real" BMX bike. He is turning 7 and this will be his gift. I got it on sale for $99.00 which is cheaper than box store 18" wheel bikes. This is alot better quality. Its HiTen so its heavy at 23 pounds. Ill be adding a front brake and pegs down the road, maybe an Oryg/Gyro. My son is very tall for his age and outgrew his 16" bike, but a 20" is just too big. This will hold him over for a year or two. First impressions, it's quality built. My only gripe is the seat is cheap. I heard some people say theirs came with a plastic base brake lever. This one is all aluminum. 990 type brake in rear that actually works. No coaster brake (my son loves that his dads bike has no coaster brake!) so he'll be thrilled. Should hold up for a long time with care. Bottom bracket is regular bearing, so time will tell how long that lasts, see if I can upgrade to a sealed or swap out for 3 piece cranks at some point depending how involved my son gets into bmx. I installed included reflectors for safety. I think this bike looks RAD and for the price how can you go wrong for a little kid.
