1984 Cyclecraft
1984 Cyclecraft
Restored Cyclecraft... my baby!
I was told this frame and fork is somewhere between 1984-1986. When I purchased this it was in pretty bad shape. I stripped the frame and fork down to the chromoly and there began my story. With the exception of the cranks which are Redline proline 175's, everything on this bike is between mid 80's to mid 90's. I purchased two different Araya hoops from two totally different sellers and over the course of a couple months gathered the money up and had them professionally chrome dipped. They are both 20x1.75 and originally one was matte gray and the other was anodized gold. The hubs are genuine oldschool bullseye blue w/white stripe in the center. The spokes are white Profile and blue anodized spoke nipples. (Thanks to Dans comp for the awesome lacing!) The neck is a mini DK round corner in polished chrome. The bars are Elf Blast bar repros (diamondback), not sure of the year, but they're freakin' dope as hell. Kmc hollow pin chain, and an 18 tooth suntour freewheel in chrome as well. I had a really great find with an original GT sprocket disc still in the original package! Also a blue sugino 42 tooth chainring, with Odyssey chrome chainring bolts. Also purchased the Redline skinwall tires from another bmxmuseum member, not sure on the year, but they're in brand new condition. Odyssey Pitbull brakeset and a blue anodized Pitbull caliper. The pedals are NOS sealed crupi polished chrome bodies, with some bad ass blue cages! Jive tentacle grips in white, and to finish it off a freakin' beautiful set of mid-school Flite pads, which I picked up just a couple weeks ago. YAY!!!! This is my dream bike!!!
