can you show a pic of the transition of the upper stays through the seatpost? dude that is so freakin cool! looks like quite a few pieces assembled to make that frame. sweet.

Re: 2000 Allaint Quadangle (protoype)

I too have this same frame.  I got it free directly from Alliant, we were sponsored by them at the time.  They were supposed to give every member of our team a frame.  Most of the frames we received were the junior sized frames.  I am the only one who got the only larger frame.  Then we picked up a new sponsor, STAATS, which we were getting their bikes at a good price, so we  decided to go with those frames.  I soon got on a STAATS and my Alliant went into the attic where it is today.

I have the black frame, and I know they were not serialized, but I was under the assumption that only two of these frames were ever made.  Mine and the one that their pro at the time was riding.  If anyone has anymore knowledge please shoot me an e-mail, because I would love to know!

Also my little brother has one of the first junior frames that were ever built.  We got all our bikes before they went into mass production, I knew they would be a rare item one day, but this is the first time I have ever looked for them.

Please let me know,

Chris Pauley

Re: 2000 Allaint Quadangle (protoype)

chrispage, don't know much about this frame, but i know Mike Devitt used the SE designs early on in Alliant including landing gear forks that were not stamped.  Fuji had a fit about the copies of the designs, that they now owned, and made Alliant stop.  I imagine that these frames were made very early in Alliants life and were discontinued for the same reason as the forks.  I would love to get my hands on one of these frames as well as a set of those forks.

Re: 2000 Allaint Quadangle (protoype)

Yeaah this frame it's almost perfect! Plus I have my doubts about the entire frame. I feel that seat, top, lower and steering tubes... I really think they're part of a SE Quadangle frame, this frame seems to have just different rearstays and top box.
Really awsome frame!

I hate to bust the balls of the site owner, but c'mon!?!?!?!

all old school? w/v-brakes? Marzocchi forks? Carbon fiber?

it seems all new school! lol

Sorry, I couldn't resist, but nothing seems old school.

I am just having some fun busting some balls, don't take me seriously! I have too much fun here!

Re: 2000 Allaint Quadangle (protoype)

Maybe old school was a bad choice of words...It is all mid-school...The only stuff on there I would consider "new school" would be the snafu parts...

ok, the "rest of the story"
somneone sent me the pics and the description. I am only pretending to own it.
It is not my bike, or my description. Just posted the info for reference, and to make PJ jealous..
