2017 Redline PL-26

The Big Boy Redline

I've been a Chatsworth, Ca. resident for 20 years, living walking distance from the old sites of Redline, Champion, and BMX Products/Mongoose.

I rode Redline and Mongoose as a Torrance kid, so when I saw the new white PL-26, I knew it would be my next bike.   I never stopped riding bikes, and still love 24's, but I wanted my daily rider to be a 26".
I've been cruising everywhere on this Redline PL-26, and really love it.   I put a NOS set of red California Lite pads and an Odyssey Slic Kable on it to accent the red logo.   IMO, Redlines only look right with white, black, and red as the colorway.
I'm so glad it came with quality Flight cranks, cross chainwheel, Tektro, and Tioga Power Blocks.    I honestly feel no compulsion to upgrade parts.  The bike is great as it is.   Nice job Redline!
The next PL-26 should come in chrome, red ano, and OS logo.  If so, I'd buy another one

Sure I'll look like a bear at the circus, but I'll get a little fun out of it.

Just got one myself. It’s a great riding bike for cruising to the beach. I changed out the handlebars to a pair of Redline V-Line Flight bars & the gum wall comp 3 tires. You’re right though the bike is perfect as is. http://uploads.bmxmuseum.com/user-images/244215/b6bcb814-d982-4616-a328-fea6c72c5e635a262e032a.jpeg

Re: 2017 Redline PL-26

AT first, I was going to use my GHP cruiser bars, but I like the way the stock pro size bars give the cruiser a scaled up 20" feel.
Your V bars and pad are a nice nod to the 70's.

I wish Redline had never changed their original logo.   The '83 logo they went with is painted on, otherwise I could see some people applying the OS decals.

One thing I've grown to love on new bikes is Tioga Power Block tires.  They roll so nicely, but still grip dirt and pavement.
