I buy them and sell for scrap just so others can't have them.

Re: Does anyone really own a Trick Star ?

Yeah, there is a local guy that pays top $ for them here in Miami, like $15 for a f/f.

Been giving him like 10 a week for the last year. He cuts them up and makes trike bikes for senior citizens.

Re: Does anyone really own a Trick Star ?

Amazing how this old, woefully impractical, spindly little thing can cause grown men to get weak in the knees....

....I'm guilty too. Trick Stars were THE bike I wanted circa 84-85. I want a 24" cruiser with the original xl24 geometry, but the TS headtube arrangement. I'd call it the "Huckster"

Will NEVER deal with FrenierBMX. You are well advised to do the same.

Re: Does anyone really own a Trick Star ?

I still don't get the fascination.  But HUTCH is automatically worth 10x every other brand--according to the child-men that populate this site...so maybe that's why?

Re: Does anyone really own a Trick Star ?

tacoman, THAT is nice...shiny.
maybe a lot of trick star owners don't want people looking at their trick stars, or asking questions about their trick stars, or lusting after their trick stars with their eyes...clicking on their trick stars...etc.
so they refuse to show them.  big_smile

There is a slight chance that I am the only one here that has actually cut up a Trickstar frame. Really.
