1979 Sekai Superhawk
I got this from Craiglist from a young guy. He said he got it from a man who the bike belong to his daughter.Most parts is from Japan. Blue araya rims, super maxy sugino 3 cranks, sekai seat, tange tx 500 fork,shimano brakes.Bike is very light. Not to sure if this is a 1979. Serial number rear drop out D9036048

That frame may be a lot older. Could be a 77"!

It is a 1979 Superhawk.

I dont have a scanner but it is that bike.
Now I know the 79 is identical to mine EXCEPT the 79 has no box gusset behind the BB. Also the hiole in my bike is larger and the back of the front gusset on yours is more flat and mine more arched. Still mine could be a 77 Sekai I'll keep digging.
Back to yours it is all original. Except the grips I think. The ad bike doesnt have a suede seat but yours could be upgraded by the dealer or a better model. But the bike in the add and in the details is the same forks, same cranks, same stem and bars, same rims. It says in the add it comes with Shimano brakes and hubs. I cant tell from the picture if yours has that.

Re: Sekai 79.....I recently aquired a complete sekai (I think it is anyway) from a steel recycle bin which looks the same frame as your 79 but has a 35mm crank with cotter pins and seems to have a greater distance between the back of the crank case to the bar separating the lower chain stays (mine is 63mm) Top bar is 415mm, seat tube is 310mm, head is 100mm x 35mm. The serial on the L\H outer dropout is D90719062. It has a split goose neck and the handle bars are knurled in two places to match the goose neck connection. There is no hole in forks for fitting a hand brake caliper. These items appear to be original and are all steel period hardware. The bike came with later model steel wheels with coaster brake but frame has no frame lug for coaster. I am thinking that maybe my frame could be older than yours or mebe a down market version. Are your dimensions the same?

I dont think yours is a Sekai. Sekai didnt make their own bikes. Often in Australia and the Pacific Rims you got bikes made for that market. I wouldnt be surprised if it came from the same Factory that made the Sekai, but for another company.
Someone needs to make an Australia/NZ/Pacific rim site like this site like this one.
