1966 Schwinn Stingray

needs work but frame/fork are in relatively good condition, considering it's age. made in August of 1966 according to the serial number (HB12272)

new Tuff wheels (sealed bearings) in black
Nippon front and rear calipers in black
Black levers for the Nippons
decent mid-80s 3-piece crank arms (square taper)

That dry rot in the back tire is AWESOME!

Hi. How can you tell the date and the month by the serial number? I have a schwinn frame jf 41076. Are the handle bar and neck oringinal?

This is how I bought this bike.  Originally it had those ape-hanger bars and  a banana seat......but that was way before i got it.  Unsure about the stem.

that is a cool find look like it was turend in to a schwinn scrambler want to be. schwinn mad bikes jus like your in 1978 caled scamblers with that seat and bars you have in the pictuer! way cool bike.


show bikes are nice but bikes were meant to be rided!!! 20" for ever.
