Looptail pk ripper pick up

Got this yesterday afternoon right after work. I think it's a 83, paint is pretty beat but gives it character. Mostly glad that the og decals are still intact, well kind of.

Re: Looptail pk ripper pick up

It's going to take sometime till I really get a chance to do some work on it but I threw on some parts I had kicking around for a while.

Yesterday when I was checking it out I was positive the frame was cracked at the keyhole. But when I took the seatclamp off the remove the broken uni seatpost it turns out it's not cracked !!!!!!big_smilebig_smilebig_smile

My shipping is going to stink from 9/20-9/27...as in ....it's not going to happen.  I'll have spots of no communication, but will mostly be available to discuss.

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: Looptail pk ripper pick up

Small update. Got some vintage yellow label comp 3 tires and some og Oakley 2 grips in really nice shape. Replaced the rusty stiff tange headset with a mongoose stamped headset.
Colors look great together!

You're awesome for saving that original paint brother.  They're only original once!
