Freek did the EF performers all sell out?

yes all those batches sold out have to wait till more may be made. but the 100 blue,100.white,100 black, 60 Dayglow pink and the 180 yellow all sold out.

I wonder if Eddie had a hand in helping GT design this PP since it's a lot like his.  I bet the complete GT PP will be in the $500 range.

no but they might have got a hold of one of his frames to copy.

I think it's funny they called it an 86 design but added 85 decals.  Almost like they wanted to directly compete with the EF's following.  There are a ton of guys out there that wishes they bought the EF.

price was to high for my low bank account founds when they  first came out for sale + I just built my super cross extension  duel top tube then. so no cash to buy one. maybr just maybe they bought all the left over raw  EF frames then add new badge and stickers naw can't be. but they GT do hop to hook all the customers that missed out on the EF frames. in to buying theirs.tongue

I wonder if the slice has an OS GT looking logo stamp with 4130 and if the font is different?

The 990's and cable guides didn't come out til after 87.  The 87's had the single brake post centerpull brakes mounted on bottom of CS.  I think it's cool they did it like that though.  GT needs to do a s-bend 87 PP or PFT next, but it better be 4130 too.  smile

they the bean counters  will wait and see how these sell. if they do good we may see a s-bend 87 next year wink

Nope, I cant find any other pics or info anywhere.  I see some online bmx shops have 2018 bikes but not the PP listed yet.

The catalog has a time stamp of July 16th...

Wow, finally GT woke up to the retro trend, my prayers have been Heard ha ha smile
The only problem now is that I had given up on them releasing a retro performer any time soon.
So I decided that my old -91 Karakoram MTB needed a friend, so I just orderd the 2016 GT Zaskar Expert LE (Yes, the VERY Purple one).
But....I can propably survive on pasta for a couple of months more he he smile

Did anyone manage to find a price anywere?

Best regards.

Ps: Now lets see if we could get a -90´s and 2000´s vesrions aswell smile

Ps2: Wonder if the handlebars will be able to meet ends with the sadle for old school tricks?

Dan's compe mail phone help hot line  order guy said when when there in stock. price will be around $898.00 for the complete bike. at this time no plans from GT. to be sold as frame and fork kits.

but when there asking : $1,199.99 for the Haro 2017 Lineage Team Master Complete Bikes the GT sounds like the better freestyle  retro deal.

I'm buying one! In 1986, my parents bought me my first GT - a chrome Pro Performer! I'm gonna bolt some white OGK's on mine!

Actually the geometry on the frame is pretty good for flatland! I'm going to put set of minimal offset forks with u brake mounts, a 35-38mm front stem and a gyro and front and rear brakes and ride it! Just like I did in 86!

Someone should confirm if that geo is correct because it appears to have been switched with the 26.

Hi, my name is Marshall. I rode for Pro Rider on the freestyle team in the 80s. Good times for sure! Man I wish Pro Rider (and Marks) were still around. As for Oak Ridge, I went by Oak Ridge Bicycle Center recently and the owner is a wealth of BMX history knowledge in East TN. He knew of tracks that pre-date any I knew of in the area.

I like the bike but not the chrome. I would rather see it in some colors. I would've preferred flashier decals like '87 or '88.

They are showing the 20 has a longer top tube, seat tube, chainstay, and rider area than the 26. Doesn't look right to me.

Re: 2018 20 inch NS GT Pro Performer thread... who likes it?

spyndrome may be right.  plus a 13.5 CS on a 26 is super short for 26 inch wheels!  Impossible really given the radius of just the wheel.

Re: 2018 20 inch NS GT Pro Performer thread... who likes it?

wait... 13.2 CS!  Even more impossible.  Its likely the whole column on 26 specs is wrong and really for a regular Performer or one of the park bikes.

Re: 2018 20 inch NS GT Pro Performer thread... who likes it?

I wonder why they didn't do 990 mounts on the forks?  Its got freestyle roots.  I guess people can add a 990 adaptor plate if there is a front brake hole.

I don't think that is an actual photo of the bike.  Notice the left crank arm and pedal aren't drawn in?  Probably just a rendering.

Now I'm seriously considering one..
But it's kinda odd that it's seems to be intended for park rather than flatland...
Needs front brakes, gyro, and pegs... roll
