2000 Dyno Slammer

The 2000 Slammer was the last Slammer made under the Dyno name and the last USA Made Slammer frame.

I bought a 2000 Slammer frame, fork and handlebar and decided to build it into a bike since I missed my first 2000 Dyno Slammer that I sold years ago. I didn't want to wait for the original parts to pop up and spend a lot of money to get them so I just went with what I had laying around. I think it came out pretty nice for a budget Slammer. I do plan on upgrading parts in the future but I wanted to ride the bike so I went with what I had at the time. I tried to make it look stock and kept the stock color scheme. I used some GT parts like the 39t sprocket that is from 1999-2000 but came on the GT racing bikes like the 1999-2000 GT Speed Series 24 and the 1999 GT Pro Series 24 so it is still the correct size and year but not the stock design. The seat was also correct for the 1998 Slammer but didn't have the gray 9mm rails. Pegs are also the correct year and the GT Piston stem is correct except it's not the USA made version. Cranks are 170mm so they are correct size but not made by GT or Profile. The pedals reminded me of the gray GT Show pedals so I used them instead of the shiny polished aluminum pedals that Dyno used. The grips also looked similar to the stock GT grips so I used them. The front wheel even has the strait radial laced spokes in the front and the rear wheel has crossed spokes in the rear just like the factory wheels had. The only thing I did different from stock was the blue walled tires but I think they match the bike well and give it some character. Hopefully the museum members will enjoy my budget Slammer and thanks for looking.
