1983 Akisu MX

One of my most beautiful bikes :-)

This is my 1983 Akisu MX. Take a look at the last picture. I bought it as an Altai bike (I reached the conclusion that Altai was a German brand, but I don’t remember why) just because I loved the frame gusset. Once at home, I realised that the frame has chromoly tubing and, after looking a little into it, I found out that the frame was made by Akisu. The bike was originally equiped with quite simple parts, so I decided that it deserved an upgrade!

Parts list:
Frameset: AkisuWheels: Skyway UT Tuff (New. Originally pink. Dyed red)Decals: 422 BMX DecalsTyres: Duro Comp IIIOPC: Generic. Japan stamped. Spider: SuginoPedals: SR Custom (NOS)Chainring: Sakae 41T. I’m keeping this one since I was a child. It was on my race bike for some time. Chain: KMCSeat clamp: Unbranded. Tuf Neck Style (NOS)Seat: Padded.
