Right now my front sprockets a 36 Tooth the rear freewheels a 16 tooth. works OK for wheelies, gets up and scoots. pretty fast with out burning out my legs. my put a 13 on and smaller front sprocket for more top end speed.. not sure yet. my hub is flip flop. so I can run a 13 Tooth freewheel. but took it for a 8 block cruise it's not geared bad as is.  I did not feel like I was spinning 90 miles a hour and going nowhere . but did not feel like my 20" skate park/street BMX bike  that's set at 25 /9 gearing

165 is better than say 175 or 170. do to most these frames have low bottom bracket shells .so littler is better to keep out the way cranks / pedals. so they don't scrape ground. in a sharp turn.wink

Re: "SWEET 16" PIT BIKE BEACH RIDE (So Cal)

I plan on building mine for aesthetics first and foremost big_smile

I'll then look at swapping out a few bits and pieces down the track - once so I can ride it and then once more to make it rideable for a little person.

In the meantime - 180 and 44T = TUFF
