1979 Mongoose
1979 Mongoose
All mint parts.
CK9
Classic old-school colour combo.
All of these parts came from a Mint donor 1981 Speedwell MKII, Australian issue, similar to a Supermax.
I put on the OG Speedwell quilted yellow seat, & real 80's Mongoose yellow grips. Need to update pics.
I have the Speedwell built up for one of my kids. It is in the museum, if you want to see it.

Love this bike, it's so much like the bikes I had as a kid.

Re: 1979 Mongoose
Why... why would you do that? That particular Speedwell was most excellent by far, way cooler than any old mongoose I'd reakon. How many NOS Speedwell Sting MKII are there out there? Answer, not very many. In fact I've still got all the images of it save to my hard drive, being the inspiration behind the decision to restore my NOS SuperMaX f/f to factory. I hope you'll reconsider this decision one day mate, aussie all the way!
