Re: Bladder Cancer

Only thing I know is my parents next door neighbor and good friend had it and he's doing good now a couple years on. He said they told him smoking caused it, but he's in his early 60's, idk. Hope everything works out ok for you, it has for him.

Re: Bladder Cancer

Yeah.... no cancer is good cancer for certain.

Are they just going to do a procedure or is there going to be a few procedures before hand. A family member of mine is going in the process of treatment. He's real vague about it. I think it sounds like he's had a few treatments of chemo where they fill just the bladder with the chemicals.

We're going to a swap meet in moultrie this weekend. Ill ask some questions.

But honestly not sure he'll want to talk about it. Talking about a dudes junk almost like talking about feelings.

Mine they caught it early....and there buring the growth off and no chemo. I'm just wondering if it hurts much afterwards and how long they were out for.

I had blood in my urine with some tissue looking objects as well. They then sent me to get a ultrasound which showed something in my bladder to then a specialist that gave me the results that I had cancer growths in my bladder. The short version.

Re: Bladder Cancer

Thanks guys...I think waiting for the surgery is worse than actually having it right now. We're pretty slow at work...so lots of thought are going through my mind on what could happen. ....trying to stay positive!

Stay positive Willy, as I said my parents neighbor, Dick, had the procedure at least 3-4 yrs ago and I think he's in his mid 60's and he's doing great. He smoked and unfortunately drank alot most of his life but has turned it around, great guy, has been a great friend to my folks. He has been in good health since, walks daily, stays fit. I think things will be fine for you as well. Peace.
