2015 Hoffman Seeker

Hoffman "Seeker" in Matte Maroon with a few mods.

I bought this Hoffman "Seeker" from Albe's in June 2016 (after getting the "bike bug" again at age 57) and looking at the serial number I think it was made in 2015. The bike looks great with its Red/Black color scheme. I've made some modifications over the months I've had it: Tioga Comp 3 tires (2.125), Merritt "Justin Care" stem, Odyssey 1999 brake (on front with red Slic cable). Sunlite saddle and post, and I cut 1/2" off each end of the handlebar with a tubing cutter. I "tour" the nooks and crannies of Atlanta on it and people often comment on the bike.
UPDATE 22-March-17: I switched the Comp 3 tires for some CST C1213N (2.125) tires because I'm spending most of my time on concrete and asphalt. Also, I put the original Hoffman front-load stem back on, flipped for more handlebar height.
UPDATE 16-July-17: I wanted a little more handlebar height, so I put on a Shadow "Odin" stem with the crow logo. I like crows. Also, I installed a Merritt "Mighty" sprocket.
UPDATE 9-Sept-17: After a few flat tires recently, I put the stock tires back on with new tubes and I duct-taped inside the rim to help with spoke-end punctures [Albes suggests electrical tape on their website, but I decided to experiment with cutting duct-tape 1" wide and using two layers of that.]

Re: 2015 Hoffman Seeker

Awesome to hear you're back into bikes, ewilli !
While some may never have left... Many of us have a similar story of returning to bmx cool
And you've probably heard it before - but it all starts out harmlessly... with just one bike... lol

Re: 2015 Hoffman Seeker

Thanks guys! Fun to be on this BMX forum. I know the risks of having "one more bike" because I already bought a Premium Products "Stray" frame half-off and now I'm fighting the impulse to build it up.  neutral
