1980 Mongoose Motomag

Bike I always wanted as a kid

Bought this as a frame and collected parts from there. Pretty happy with the result.
Frame:   1980 Mongoose Motomag, rechromed and the powdercoated in red candy
Fork:      Tange TX1200 Champions, rechromed
Headset: Tange AW27
Stem:      Mongoose Goldstem, 24k gold plated, with polished and chromed hardware
Bars:       Win "C" bars, rechromed
Grips:      Repro Mongoose
Seat
Clamp:     Stamped Mongoose, rechromed
Seat:       Suede Kashimax aero
Cranks:    Shimano 600, polished
Ring:        Shimano 44t, polished
Pedals:     MKS BM7
Hubs:       Shimano Casette, re-annoed
Rims:       Araya 1 3/8 skinnies, re-annoed and shiny sided
Tyres:       NOS Panaracer Knarler Knobby
Brakes:    Shimano Tourney and DX lever, re-annoed
This is my first build. Really enjoying getting back into the hobby

Looks great. I too always wanted a Mongoose Motomag as a kid. But never got. Recently picked up an 80 Motomag too. In my opinion Mongoose is the holy grail of old school bmx bikes.
