Re: 1981 SE Racing Floval Flyer

Na..reason..I also rode and raced a PK Ripper (same colour) in 80/81 well that cracked and broke all over the place..Every old Floval Flyer I have seen are repainted , with having ridden them ,The only reason to repaint one is because its been rewelded , filed down and repainted.Thats the reason I too have not repainted this bike, I belive it will be worth good money in years to come as being factory paint..The Rep from SE here asked about buying it a few years ago..

Re: 1981 SE Racing Floval Flyer

Would any one know what this bike would be worth? ..I've had people tell me that people in the USA would only want frame and forks , But all parts on it were put on it from new.(apart from stickers and tyres)..I dont wish to sell it just have it Insured for what it would cost to replace..Has anyone ever seen one for sale with a low frame number like this?...Rear drop outs are Mint..It only has frame savers because I saw them for sale on e.bay and thought gee they are a must have..and as you guys would know the frame saves are top class.

Re: 1981 SE Racing Floval Flyer

I know in the UK the Frame & Forks will most probably go for £250-£300 ($500 -$600) with your complete bike on a good day going for £600 -£700 ($1,200 - $1,400).

Anyway I would keep hold for it because as each year goes by the rarer it will be.

Re: 1981 SE Racing Floval Flyer

so did this get sold? how much did you get for it?

I was wondering, too, what features make the Floval different from a PK Ripper?
