2016 Spring Build Off winner race category

Build Details: I acquired this as basically a frame and fork only and set out to build this bike with 100% original survivor parts, the way I feel it would have been back in the day. Everything down to the cables and tubes are original parts. Frame / fork: 1985 Pro, non-braced straight chainstay frame. Original finish and decals, Suntour loose proof headset Handlebars: MCS rise 9 handlebars, plastic end caps still under the grips Grips: Oakley B2 Stem: Early DK Pro stem Padset: Red / white gridline Zap Pads Seat: Shotgun II, PDMP guts Clamp & post: 1985 GT seat post and clamp Crank set: Redline single pinch, full wrap arms, 44t bubble font chainring, loose B/B Pedals: Suntour non braced XC-II Wheel set: Ukai rims, GT race lace hubs with hollow axles and collars Tires: Mitsuboshi Comp III, blue / green label. 2.125 front, 1.75 rear Brake system: May 1985 Dia-compe rear caliper, Dia-compe tech III front lever. Non-dated transparent blue brake cable. Dia-Compe rear pads.
