1984 CW Pistol Pete
1984 CW Pistol Pete
84 "pistol Pete" not to many of these bad boy's out there
I picked the frame set up from another member last year. I just said one day it is time to through it together so here it is. it was a spur of the moment nothing planned kind of thing. but I like the outcome. tough to beat black and chrome. parts list. OG CW Pistol Pete frame and fork,Suntour XCII pedals,DC MX hinged clamp,DK square corner stem,401 flight cranks, UNI seat and post,CW pro bars, graphite "Z" rims with Bullesey hubs, AME round grips with donuts, DC MX 1000 brakes, DC tech 3 lever, black and chrome KMC chain,Kenda skinwall comp III style tires.etc. I built this one the way I would have liked one back in the day. and how I would expect to have seen one as-well "I no longer own this bike"
!!!!!!!!!!!WANTED 20" LittleJohn forks in chrome !!!!!!
common sense is not that common any more

Re: 1984 CW Pistol Pete
Hello, 1st post
I had one of those BITD. Bought new in 1984, my day gave it away in 1990 when I was at Uni...never to be seen again.
The original spec was a lot more basic that yours, I certainly remember a one piece crank. IIRC it was ~275 GBP - a lot of money in 1984! The padset was black with orange (red?) and yellow "CW Racing" lettering.
If you ever decide to part with this let me know.
Post a close up of the pistol Pete seat tube decal!

Could you possibly let me know where you got the pads and stickers, if you bought them after market?

Re: 1984 CW Pistol Pete
Nice build bro. These are one of the baddest CW's they made. Good fit and good geometry all the way.
