1997 Haro Ultra

SOLD

First off....Big thanks to JASON "xtremevert" for picking it up and shipping it to me. Enjoy that 88.5 sport you deserve it.
Scored off KIJIJI. Doesn't even look like its been used could literaly pass for nos.
As far as i know this is pretty rare, I have never seen another one except for the Haro brochure.
Craziest front brake I have ever seen, the grind disc and down tube are massive.  Only thing added to the Ultra are trick-top 8 ball valve caps to match the decals. 96 year serial number kh6g2916.
This is one sic midschool Haro. I have a new respect for the 90's bikes.

Re: 1997 Haro Ultra

Hey Scott,

I changed the year before submission.  Serial shows the build date but it's a mid year build and due to the stickers/parts was sold as a 1997 model and should be listed as such wink   Just wanted to make sure there was no confusion.

The 1996 model came stock with blue stickers as well as having a Nippon up front and no mounts for that Haro "Fusion" ABS U brake, smaller font for the "Fusion" label on the cranks, etc, little differences.  (For anyone finding a brake like this, note that they were made for 990 mounts and for canti mounts, so there are 2 different sizes which do not interchange).  Threw the specs in there for you too.

And btw, the bike is beautiful!!  smile

Re: 1997 Haro Ultra

Sweet! That thing really shines! A good friend of mine had one BITD. He beat the heck out of it and cracked one of the welds. He brought the frame to our local bike shop and they sent it in to Haro. They sent a Master frame for a replacement for Free!

Nice Bike Scott!

Dude you have some of the sweetest rides - but that takes the cake.  Such a rare find with the brakes and chain guard - I've only seen pictures from a magazine.

Wow, does that bike shine!!!  Nice work on polishing it up Scott.  Looks killer!  That front brake is also killer...stops on a dime.  I freakin' bagged myself because of that front brake!!!  Ouch!!!  Oh, well my son laughed his face off!  big_smile
