MIYATA MX-5000 Chromoly
Rare in US
This bike was made by Miyata a company in Japan famous for their road bikes and who is still in buisness today, they made two BMX models for the 1984 year only,the BMX-3000 and the BMX-5000 the 5000 being the nicer model with better components. My brother had this bike new..last pic is my brothers and me xmas morning. TBREAKZ

Update!..ok after almost 3yrs or more looking for this bike my brother had BITD(stolen at the arcade around 1990) i received an email from a Museum member that there is a NOS one never sold in a Japan auction!..and after a few emails and a paypal payment later the bike was mine! wanted to thank Kenji for helping me out and shipping the bike so nice..few pictures at the 2009 1st Annual super Colorado BMX BBQ..

Hello !
I've found the same BMX here in Switzerland. It have no stickers, apart on the headtube (a V in orange color). I was searching here to found the make, because I know a little in Old School BMX, but I didn't identify this BMX. Mine is in great shape too but not NOS. The serial number on the headtube is M255874.

congrats on finding a mint survivor !
I collect/hoard/fix/buy/sell BMX bikes , vintage road bikes , cruisers , mtb , bikes in general ....
Also do the same with old school chevys and classic cars/trucks
