I got a set of forks like that came with a reported 88 interceptor. Are these forks specific to one of the GT style frames or are they generic stock/upgrade ones for that year?

just curious...how long is the top tube on that xl?? my 84 GT is stamped "L" under the numbers and it measures 19 1/4 top tube.. just curious if the xl is any longer..tx
