1988 Mongoose Decade
1988 Mongoose Decade
my daily beater for the past 6 years
i bought the frame for 5$ at a swap meet then i bought the rims there too (not mongoose rims). some one painted over the handle bars and the seat post. it doesn't have original seat because it didn't come with one. not original grips. orignal headset, not orignal headset, acs rotor. i love this bike and it is nice and light. i am going to be restoring the paint on the parts that were painted over. awsome bike. my first rider at 13 in 2007

i love the 88 decade frame.......mogoose used to be such a great name that put out many great bikes till they became Walgoose! Love the frame..what was the orig. color? And are those lester rims?

the original frame color was red along with the handle bars. but some one spray painted a little orange on the handlebars. the original seat post plus clamp was white but someone spray painted them red. and the rims were white but these aren't the original rims. i have no idea what kind of rims they are. i just saw some rims at the swap meet i liked so i bought them. thnx for the comment.

i guess the first question is what are the rims made of? Lesters were very early mags. 70's style....they were made of metal...sorta like the mongoose motomag rims...
