This site is the first thing I go to in the morning and the last before I call it a day. Love it. It's the best thing since the day I learned to ride a bike.

Re: Website started MArch 25, 1999, by GAry

In 2007 I needed a "Master" lock for my bands equipment trailer. I wanted something really heavy duty so I went to ebay and put in the word "Master" so I had a ton of choices to look at. The first picture that popped up was a restored 85 Haro Master. My eyes must have popped out of my head that day. I searched for more Haro pictures on yahoo and stumbled onto this site. I have had the distinct opportunity to hang out with GAry and many other regulars to this site. Best bro'z in the world IMO

This is an amazing site.
I have always been into bmx and always owned at least one at any time I can remember since childhood.
Found this site researching a score and never looked back.
Thanks for everything you do and letting me help out where I can.
Cheers.

Re: Website started MArch 25, 1999, by GAry

I actually joined back in January of '07. Back then, I was in one of my phases of working on my Master and looking for tricks and tips people were sharing. It wasn't nearly as big as it is now but it instantly took the place of a riding magazine. I had zero desire when I could instantly interact with other riders.

I absolutely agree that it's pushed a lot of people back into the sport. Even if they were F'n around and put their old bike into a search engine. Then, after seeing so many people above the age of 25-30 on the Museum, they didn't feel so guilty about riding a kid's 20" bike. Thus, propelling them to the local bike shop or eBay. Hell, I still ride a Schwinn Yo Scooter so I don't have any issues...but I think it's definitely gotten a lot of people back even if they're just collecting as a hobby.

You've got nostalgic people, riders, collectors, hobbyists, people with BMX OCD, sellers, buyers...all communicating on the same site. It's pretty awesome. Imagine if we had this in 1988. I met my first BMX friend on a BBS system I was a member of. Rocking the first version of Commodore 64 "internet" back in the day. He recognized my handle as a BMX handle. We swapped numbers via BBS messaging and started riding together. Had we had this back in '88, there would have been an army. I can hear it now - "They're ain't but 20,000 cops in this whole town. Can yoooou diiiiig ittttt?"

Well, if you hadn't made this site, I might have not have ever known that I trashed a bike that was one of five ever made, so... tongue

J/K This is a great site and has been an incredible resource for me over the years. I've made some good friends and had a lot of really good conversations about the old days. And those conversations inspired me to catch back up with old friends that I let slip away.

Thanks for sticking with it, you may never know how much a lot of us really appreciate it.
