1987 Zeronine Pro XL

The Best Art Work of all BMX Bikes Zeronine Does it Right

Here is my second Zeronine I added to the collection it is not finished yet the original color was factory Zeronine blue re-powder coated it as close as possible to a match of factory color as I could the bike is not complete yet am not sure if I am going to stick with the white or if I am to go lime green or light pink like to know what people Think I should go with for a color to offset the blue everybody usually uses white but I really like the lime green or the light pink it's just hard finding parts.

Re: 1987 Zeronine Pro XL

I would keep it blue with black parts, a hint of white and some nice chrome wheels.

Always wanted one of these in that blue colour.

Should be a fun build !

Re: 1987 Zeronine Pro XL

When you find a set of race forks you can start the search for an ultra frame and have two very nice 09's cool

cool

If you don't find Zeronine forks, search for Cycle-Craft ones, they are almost the same. wink

Zeronine Vs Cycle-Craft forks.

http://i65.photobucket.com/albums/h205/defloued/DSCN2428_zpsdt7zshhi.jpg

All the same but dropouts welds, and CC dropouts are welded a bit higher on the legs. Hard to fin too, but less than 09.
Some old Redline forks look close too, but not sure on the model (MXII ??)

Because zeronine was made by cycle craft alot of 09's got cycle craft forks. I know that the 85 non gusset zeronines had forks like the chrome ones above. After that i dont think there is any rhyme or reason to what fork the frame got.

Re: 1987 Zeronine Pro XL

Thank you guys for all your information its a big help now all I have to do is try and hunt down some forks so both my Zeronine's can have forks that look correct I know it will be impossible to find Zeronine ones but Cycle Craft may be possible even if I have to get a full frame and fork set up it will be worth it I hope to have it finished within the next month if anyone knows where I can get a set of pads in white that don't cost $300+ I am interested or if anyone knows where I can get some pro class rims or a spyder for bullseye gen 2 cranks the ones that connect to the spider or chain ring with 5 Allen screws I'd be greatful thank you guys for all your knowledge been very helpful

Re: 1987 Zeronine Pro XL

Very nice rigs there man!! I'm super excited to now devote some attention to my 09 Pro XL now that I have my Starfire ZL all done up and back together at under 24lbs!! I need to decide what bars I want to run with and other than that I am toying with the idea of a colourful approach without a specific go to color...have the frame/fork/pro class rims/gold Tuf Neck 2000/light blue pitbull rear brake and gold kmc chain...likely going to keep mine in survivor condition though. I NEED a pad set (reproduction likely) and a plate for it.

I do like your ladder bars!

Go on eBay and get the re-pop Pats they are great I bought two sets and the material used and the artwork is perfect on the set the thing I like best about them is that they are not that  shiny plasticky material   Not to mention the cost of them versus the cost of original set which I also have a couple sets of but I keep them to the side for special occasions
