1980 Boss 24
1980 Boss 24
I am excited to have the new Looptail Panda Pro-Am!! I decided to take some family shots to show how close Boss and Panda are. The Looptails are panda, and the others are Boss. Both were made by Carlo Lucia, (I think) and have amazing welds.
ok, info update, I guess the small gussett behind bottom bracket is Panda, and larger one is Boss. So this frame is a rare looptail Boss, and I stil need a pro-am 24" ohh and a 26" too..

Re: 1980 Boss 24
Hey guys, I designed the loop tail as one peice and it was very hard to do and the Elite was longer, check it out. I like to put a little art into my bikes, even screw in crank bearing cups, its the only BMX that has them.[ shocker ]
Beautiful bike Gary, I'm still thinking of making some.

Re: 1980 Boss 24
I HAVE A 1980 BOSS,SERIAL # B0017. AS FAR AS I KNOW IT WAS THE 17TH BOSS EVER MADE.IT HAS THE LOOP TAIL AND LARGE LOWER FORWARD BAR OF A PANDA AND THE LOW PROFILE OF THE PATTERSON. WHEN I FIRST GOT IT IT WAS NICKLE PLATED.I HAD SOME SMALL CRACKES DEVELOPE BEHIND THE SEAT POST AND TOOK IT TO BOSS AND THEY REPAIRED IT FOR FREE ADDED A GUSSET AND CHROMED IT. IVE HAD THIS BIKE SINCE I WAS 13 AND NOW IM 44 ,IF ANYONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT THIS SUBJECT PLEASE E MAIL ME AT tallen@ durhamschoolservices.com
