1983 Redline MX-III

This is the bike that got me back into building BMX bikes after a thirty year break. I was looking for an early 80's Redline Proline like the one I had as a kid when I found this one for $75.00!! I got this from my buddy John as a frame and fork package. I pieced it together mostly with parts that he sold be. and a few that I found online. This bike just screams old school BMX in my opinion. It fits me great with the tall GT pro bars, and layback seat post. John gave me the wheels, and I dis-assembled them, shiny-sided the Araya rims, polished the spokes and nipples and re-laced/trued the wheels. For my first try at lacing wheels, they came out almost perfect. I also made the Redline style sprocket out of an old mid 90's Mongoose sprocket. I ride this one all the time.
