Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

thats a nice old ride you have there 80's. i definitly prefer the sound of a v8 with a heavy cam in it over a fart can, but suprisingly, my little 4 banger has a deep tone to it, a lot of people say it sounds a lot like a porsche carrera or bmw m3, i cant stand the high pitched sounds. although, how many of you have a heard the whine of a 03-up cobra with a kenne bell supercharger on it? talk about yummy.

when i see a mongoose at walmart, i try and picture the metal being used to make something more useful, like a frying pan, or maybe some clothes hangers...oh well...its out of my hands.

my bikes are tri-moly. that means i have 3 times more chromo than you..haha

Well LTG, while I love the way a pushrod V-8 sounds when it sounds like the pistons are trying to swap holes I also love the hiiiiiiiiiiii pitch of a V-10 or V-12 of the LAMBOS or the prancing pony of the S.F. (Scooteria Ferrari). cool

its was pretty ugly, but thats what makes it so sweet,  a total sleeper, looks like a beater truck, but packs a punch. thats how my eclipse was, no badges, so stickers, you would think it was stock until the bypass valve opened, then the secret was out. i even went as far as painted the intercooler flat black so it wouldnt stand out, i need to go to my parents and find my pic of it.

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

thats a good story, lol...so did he write you up, or did he let you slide?  i raced a cop once in an unmarked new impala, guy was cool as hell, we chatted at a redlight and he told me he wanted to see what i had, i had to let of in 2nd gear to let him catch up, but i will never forget how down to earth he was, if only all of them were like that.

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

Yeah, ran into 1 or 2 that was really coooooooooooool. But after that, I done like they said, I took it to the drag strip. Its safer, funner and I gotta trophy to prove it. Yeah I know, only one but...
Here`s a really great story about never quitting. A friend of mine was wanting to race really bad. He had a Pony, 5.0 with underdrive pulleys and a centrifuge aircharger, paxton or something, and host of other goodies. Well I ablidged him, of course I`m in ol`77 here, and he just plain ssssssssssssmokes me `cuz off the line. I mean, dominos delivered...Anyways, a little over half way I blew by him like he was setting still, mainly cause he was setting still. Throttle linkage got stuck!!!!!! And I WON!!!!! YEEEHAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Don`t ever quit on a race, you never know what may happen. big_smile

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

That's funny lambo, I've had my fun w/ krylon chrome and my buddies old chevy k5 blazer! Speed that's a killer duck, my buddy has the identical one but in yellow! I bet that was a big switch going from a zx12 to a 996 duck, a night and day handling difference! But I bet that 200 horse zx was a wild ride, what was it's weight? I think my gsxr is right around 360 lbs, and 145 hp.

I could tell you a few good police stories, but I would probably get into trouble! I'll give a hint as to how we ride and feel about cops though, notice in my pic there no plates! lol

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

Sorry, but my camera is... down, lol. Long story. I have here my 1989 Ford Econoline 150(We call it: "The Danger Van Of DOOM", lol). 300 cu in straight six, straight pipes, Thrush muffler, positrack rear, feul injected, 15" rims, O.C.C. mud flaps, O.C.C. Steering wheel cover, bullet stick knob. wink

I have my 1969 Camaro Super Sport(We call it: "Mr. Stripes", LOL) in Austic Texas at my friend's place (No place to keep it here) Looonnnggg story on why it's there, lol. Any-who... 350 cu in V-8 bored out to a 358 cu in, Holley 850 double pumpers on a high-rise intake, Eagle 1,200 headders, Hurst drag stick, 8 Ball stick knob, Fuzzy (20 sider!, lol) dice on the rear-view(Hey, I'm a gamer), 4.11 rear positrack, 15" Crager rims (tires front: 70R 15s, raer: 50R 15s), white with dual black stripes from top of grill all the way down it's back to the truck lock, lol.

I'll have to get picks up soon. The only pics I have now are of when I bought it as a rat from eBay for $1,200 back in 2000. Real sh!tty lookin', fiberglass patches, grey primer, no engine, no tranny, trashed interior, etc.

Re: What do you drive? What's in your garage?Any motorized projects?PICS..

i forgot to mention i was in a lowrider club for a while (wannabe phase) and drove a white chrysler new yorker with 18 inch dayton wire wheels with vogue tires, and full leather button tucked interior with wood grain everywhere, and 2 15's in the trunk along with shaved door handles and dual exhaust. not to mention i modified the air ride suspension to a bleeder switch, it was my super ghetto wigger sled.
