Dave Voelker Magazine add

this is a u.s made frame built to the magazine ad with Dave Voelker, the forks were NOS pro compe which i had powdered, the only difference is the color of the decals, since these were NOS i had to fit them smile as with all my builds the sr cranks and chainwheel are restored, the japan made tech 77s, and the sun mistral i also restored

Re: 1990 Dyno Slammer Team

I was always disappointed they never released this frame with this bashguard profile,
it looks way better like this versus the production frame.
Nice job!

Re: 1990 Dyno Slammer Team

So is this bike from the ad?as far as i know only the samples had the style bashguard.I beleive they used th etubing form the 89' Aggressor and then when 90 rolled along and to save moneey they used the same shape on the Slammer and the Aggresor. I am so jealous that you have one with this shape of guard.

Looking for anything Wilkerson Airlines,Early Bully,Dyno,Mongoose Hooligan and anything bashguard related!NOS or really good shape Peregrine HP 48 rims or wheels please!Really want a Bully2!

Re: 1990 Dyno Slammer Team

Love the fact that these are bashguard bikes and still rockin' the old school Dyno fork. In my opinion, Dynos weren't Dynos anymore after they changed the fork design. It was iconic.

Nice job!

I was going to ask. So the bashguard in this one is that far forward from being a pre-production version? A prototype of sorts?

Holy crap!!!  This is one of the sweetest builds I have seen in a long time.  Gotta love tires that are so new they have those little rubber nubbies on them.

Re: 1990 Dyno Slammer Team

I'd be interested to know: is this an OG 90 proto frame, or did you have the tubing of the bashguard re-done to reflect the prototype? Either way, sick build!

Re: 1990 Dyno Slammer Team

In my opinion the 90' Slammer is "THE" oldschool BMX Bash Gaurd... BITD my first real bike was an 88' Haro Invert so I missed the 87s by a year. Now as an adult enthusiast I have been building for close to six years now and as a kid and still today my "Grails" where both the 87' Profreestyle Tour and the 87' Team Master which are two fine therobreds in my stable, lol but it was the 90' GT/Dyno Bash Gaurd game that got me looking to build later model bikes. I am building a 85' Purple Reign Hutch Trick Star right now but next on my list is the 90' Dyno Slammer, in Euro Green with black accents. I bleed GT just like you brother, and I must say you have quite the "FLEET" there!, Nice work, keep 'em coming!!!coolcoolcool
