2014 Pedal Driven Cycles Kool Thing

Custom Kool Thing

Here is my Pedal Driven Kool Thing #34.  A friend of mine had Dave build this for him earlier this year, but due to some issues he was not able to ride it.  I got it and sent it back to Dave for some braking upgrades, and then had it powder coated.  Here are the specs:

Looks awesome!  A bike you just wanna hop on and go full speed!

did the powdercoating co. mask off the name plates when they powdered?  Or did you/they clean off afterwards?

I've been contemplating getting my pdkt done.

I had Liquor James @ Powder ATX handle the powder coating.  He coated the entire frame and then buffed the powder coat off of the logos.  This is how Dave recommended it.  It turned out awesome

Great looking bike.  I hadn't heard of this frame company before today.  I love the V-brakes too cool .

Damn, well done! Tim ALWAYS build sick-ass bikes, and James at Powder ATX knocks it outta the park. Both are great dudes to know.

Re: 2014 Pedal Driven Cycles Kool Thing

Pretty bad ass looking.

I basically have a PDC because Melton's had his frames build by Dave.

Question on the braking "upgrades" you mention. Did you switch over to a v-brake from a 990?

To me, that would be a braking downgrade. I can never get V-Brakes dialed correctly, but 990's are so easy and stop on a dime.

Thoughts?
