1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

1991 pft ready for battle!

this one looks so much better in person!this one came courtesy of gsx,a member here too!this one is similar to the pink 87's in the color, perhaps a little more orangish, pretty cool,I was surprised when I got it,this one seems very well kept, and some parts show no sign of use,as the tires, grips, brakes, pedals etc,it had rear pegs like ones chase had in 91 on an 87 pft painted orange(dorkin 5)which I dont know the brand, perhaps someone here can chime in,this bike was for sale right here in the museum, and Im really glad to have it,it even has boa brakes, which are pretty rare!this one's a throwback to my third gt ever,a 1990 pfttm I bought in florida in august 1990,identical,but for the color, and 990's.parts include sun rims,gt superlace unsealed hubs, suntour fw,gt power series one piece non engraved cranks,gt stem,4 piece bars,gt ame II grips, tech 7's,ptibull,ACS boa on front,gt forkstandrs(gt had to get rid of them somehow, back in 1991,no one used those already, except david brumlow!lol!AND he was sponsored!gt dx 1st gen pedals, twin clamp II,2188 seat, comet chain, wings 43t cd sprocket, unsealed bb,balck mx-2 beartrap headset, and GT LP II tires, black on black,20 x 1.95.

Re: 1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

jeez, when did you guys write this,I had'nt noticed, lol!yeah, man, this one is nice,I can hardly believe it was ridden at all, very well kept, and the paint is so similar to the 87 pink,it;s only a shade orangier(is that a word?).that chipping on the rear dropout is the only flaw I can see in theframe, and I like it like taht anyway, the wheels are new,the tires are new,grips,boas,pedals,etc...gt's just rule the world(that was my motto in 1991!llol,sometimes I feel things never change, even if I know better,,,whatever...matt,I got this one in lieu of the chrome one you saw in the"que control" 1990 video, the one I used hitchiking down that hill where fred let his bike go and it made rob crash!

Re: 1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

I think 92's were only offered in chrome,but,anyway,91 and 92 pfts were the same thing, the best design was the 1994 model, which had this very frame, with 990's,chainstay mounted, and fatter drops.

Re: 1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

someone on the bay has a 92 PFT for sale..but they look on here to find out the year..they seen yours so they incorrectly listed there bike as a 1991....when you get a chance..you need to change your info...

Re: 1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

hey i love that bike! just wondering if anyone has a frame i can get a template off - rear dropouts.it would seem someone decieded to take an angle gringer to mine before i owned it(dnt worry im an awesome welder).also if it starts with a fs it is a freestyle correct?

Re: 1991 GT Pro Freestyle Tour

indeed ,gsx graciously sold that bike to me a few months back!now I remember that the only noticeable difference between 1991 and 1992 PFT's is the dropout girth.no other component was changed,or any spec,I think even the graphics stayed the same!
