1981 GT 26

26" incher

Painted, quality job, nos comp III, sugino schwinn cranks, uni seat, mongoose stainless bars, 7x rims, newer dk stem, I did not do the build. Lucky enough to own though. I have a pair of 180 400's to put on but the spindle is broken.

Re: 1981 GT 26

Larry,

Your bike looks great!! (It does need a wipe down,  j/k ) In fact it looks a lot like mine. These are such great bikes, I hope to pic up another one someday.

Here's mine

Man, I didn't buy that bike to look at.  I ride it all the time but you are right.  I brought up to my shop to clean and take some better pictures.

Re: 1981 GT 26

Is black a factory color? I have owned two GT 26ers that were factory blue powdercoat. Always wondered if they did any other colors besides chrome and blue.

Re: 1981 GT 26

Question for you. How did you fit the UNi Seat in the Seat tube. Did you use a shim, or is the seat tube that thin? I have a 24" GT that I want to fit a Uni in but the seat tube is way too large. thanks man, Sweet bike!
