1963 Schwinn Slick Chic

Too sick!(Updated Repost)

Ok, now, I bet no-one here has anything *this* old-school, lol. My Unkle in San Mateo California has had this in his garage since 1980. It used to be mine. Was given to my cousin in 1979. I had to give it to him cause we were moving and I just got a new Mongoose. Anyway, my unkle just mailed it to me and it got here yesterday via UPS. My cousin sent along a list of the modifications and years. I am so f@ckin' jazzed that he had it all these years and it is once again *mine*. I've already road it around my neiborhood. Got lots of people askin' why?? LOL, because! It just *is*, and I just *can* wink

Re: 1963 Schwinn Slick Chic

I so wish I still had my Stingray.  I gave it to a needy kid BITD.  What is sad is I am sure it ended up in the scrap heap at some point.

Re: 1963 Schwinn Slick Chic

Are you shore that is a 1963 Schwinn StingRay?

Schwinn did not have the StingRay frames
out till 1964. Also that frame tubing in your
photo is not the right style for it to be a
Schwinn StingRay.  Do you have more photos?

Re: 1963 Schwinn Slick Chic

Dude I have to do that conversion because a friend of y moms gave me an all original blue schwinn Fairlady and since the resale value on them is low it would be more fun to make it a custom and keep it around longer. Thanks for the idea RealFox.

Re: 1963 Schwinn Slick Chic

63 was actually an estimate. As far as a Batam, or removable top tube, nope, it is a schwinn, and I put the higher back bone on it cause is was originally a girls bike, LOL...

If I don't reply again on this for a while, it's cauz I'm hardly ever logged in. wink
