Re: 1977 GT Gary Turner

Well now, isn't that spacial.  Really...super cool!  What kind of forks?  Are those GT also?

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.

Re: 1977 GT Gary Turner

What kind of pedals and spider is that? This is my favorite bike on the museum, hands down!

I'm on the hunt for a 70's or 80's 24" cruiser. Brand and condition don't matter.

Re: 1977 GT Gary Turner

never seen a gary turner with 80,s gt rear drop outs and restickered. rear drop outs should be like a pedals ready frame which is considered an old GT or shall i say a old gary turner my .02 cents.I heard that this bike was traded.I hope the new owner knows the differences if not someone got up and over on someone

You have no idea what you're talking about. You have seen a lot of 80s GTs with that frame style? Look a little closer to behind the bottom bracket. Keep your two cents and do some research.
