1980 Blazer Standard

It's not much but had to snag this grail.

My third blazer... This is a pre gusset frame which complete my collection of pre gusset, early square gusset and the taper gusset.

More updated will be to coming.

Re: 1980 Blazer Standard

I like the stories behind cool bikes that are found in bad condition.  Looking forward to seeing this restored to its former glory!

Re: 1980 Blazer Standard

Thanks.  The red is my fav color and been trying to find the blazer frame in red and been bugging CycleCatt for few years to sell his red one but he refused. Few days ago finally it came to me (I didn't find them it found me) I plan to refinished top part where the paint stripped off and keep lower part where the original red paint with worn out decal sticker still there I'm trying to keep it close to original as much as I can.

Re: 1980 Blazer Standard

I just picked up this bike and this is the only Forum that I found that has any info, hoping someone can help me out, I do know that Blazer was in business from 1980 thru 1983 but that's about all I know, the bike looks like it is all original except for tires and has not been ridden for 20 or 30 years. It was made in USA...Your photos are a clue, it is a pre-gusset frame. I just cant figure out how to add photo attachments.
