1992 Rocket

The only Rocket in the Museum!

I guess this thing is pretty rare, anyone know how many were made? How about nailing down the year of this one? Serial # is 421543. Powerlite fork and spider. Unknown bars, seat post & clamp. GT neck, grips, seat and pedals. Odyssey Pit bull brake and Excalibur crank w/Dynatron BB. Chang star levers. Spent $100 worth of time on the $2 Skyways. I have some sweet NOS Ukais that may go on it.

Re: 1992 Rocket

Wow shocked it is the only Rocket. They had some nice bikes and a great team. Was big mainly in the southeast though, since they were based in Florida. Look thru the old magazines and NBL papers you'll find lots of Rocket racers. Only remember them having Red, White and Black uniforms. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

I have another like it. It isn't built right now, though. It'll be in the museum eventually. Nice find!

i grew up racing in florida, st.cloud, orlando, and bithlo mostly.  i remember rocket being big in the 90's at least in my area. my brother had a yellow aluminum one with red stickers, i can post a pic soon.

also i am pretty sure the frames were on the clearence section of dans comp for a while. check an old bmx plus seems like 1996-97 or so.

Re: 1992 Rocket

I have the same rocket frame and fork. 20" as posted only no stickers.
I will post pix of mine when I put a good wheel set on it and find some cranks.

I take my dremel tool to my hutch parts.
I crash daily with my q bars. ( and I stomped the sweep out of them )
I scrape up my seats like no bodys buisness
and I drop my bike alot when I ride / fall.
you would be horrified watching me ride.
