1982 Haro Freestyler
1982 Haro Freestyler
Rarest of the rare freestylers...
When I was a kid in 1985, some other kid gave me this old frame he had in a backyard junkpile, so I built my project bike around it. In 1986, I showed it to Tommy Robinson (Robinson Racing) who worked at La Palma Cycle Center at the time, and he told me it was a 'prototype Haro'. I can now also determine this because of the weld placements & joint angles on the frame, which are identical with 1st generation Freestyler web pics. Turns out my old project bike is a very rare collectible, pretty cool.
Someone who was into these old-school BMX bikes asked me to submit my bike, enjoy. :-)

What it is is awesome A prototype haro..
But that much yellow makes my Head hurt.
I lived in a yellow house for a while and it kind of caused brainacalogical damage now anytime I see large amounts of yellow I get a headache..JK
Got to love this bike man I really do love monochromatic bikes.
50 mph or better downhill on a coaster braked bike on a gravel road with a culvert at the end and the chain comes off...four broken teeth 17 stitches in my head and a broken leg...and I pushed home 2 miles..well at least I think I did.

Pre-dating the banana Blammo by 15 years! Um pretty much jaw dropping. Although the GT stuff was blasphemy on a haro and vice versa when I was kid. That is incredible!
