1980 Schwinn Sting BLACK- restored and NOS, but not assembled
1980 Schwinn Black Sting: - Black powdered frame - NOS and excellently repopped stickers- yellow chain stay stickers are not original to this bike, but I liked the yellow/gold concept with black. Original should be blue or red. - Used but in great condition- Thruster handlebars- very close in appearance to the Sting - Used on a show bike, but in excellent condition- Rear Dia Compe MX1000 gold brakes with great condition double finger brake lever - Rechromed early style Sting fork, with no brake hole provision- NOS decals and stickers NOS/New- some may have some shelf wear - NOS Team Schwinn Seat - New Seat post- aluminum - NOS Schwinn non sealed bottom bracket set - NOS Team Schwinn cranks- slight gold color variation - NOS Newer style Schwinn STING stem - NOS Schwinn seat clamp - New Sumo wheels - NOS Rare yellow Sting crossbar- stem pad - NOS Suntour Chain ring - NOS chain guard (half length that bolts onto downtube and seat stay) - New Oury grips - NOS Yellow but some dry cracking Hwa Fon 20 x 2.125- - Used Schwinn Sting headset The only things needed are: - Chain - Chainring bolts - Pedals

yeah you're right they're like an orangey gold. the KKT's would be a bit mellower. the sumo wheels are a bit orangey as well, ukais may have been a better choice if the colour matching is important.

I totally agree, the Sumos are orangey as well. I did not want to wait around for a set of NOS gold Ukais or Arayas, so I bought these in the meantime. But at this stage, the bike has not been built, and I am in no rush to assemble. So if the right set comes along, I will take it. That is, if I do not end of selling this whole setup!
