1980 Schwinn Sting

1980 Schwinn- THE STING

Red 1980 Schwinn Sting. This was the very first Sting I bought, after reading all about the quality of the welding process at Paramount. It is all original with the exceptions of my added touches- NOS stem and seat clamp, seat, Oury grips, Primo tires, and yellow chain stickers. The Maxy Cross cranks came with the bike.  I added back the bars and fork, as someone put on Redline parts. The guy I bought this bike from actually took off the Sting bars, and.... gulp....threw them away, because they were stock!!! This is my son's bike, as it is one of his favorites, out of all the bikes he has a chance to ride.

Re: 1980 Schwinn Sting

Yeah I kick myself all the time for not owning one BITD. But everyone had them so I had to be different. Your son is riding a classic and without a doubt one of the best BMX bikes of all times.
