1988 GT JR Performer 16

one for my daughter.

officially complete as josie's bike, though i may change it to blue for my son since his 16" retro sport is way bigger than this gt and and she is now too.
highlights: 150mm power series cranks, front and rear 990's, nos gt tires, box neck and gyro. and yes, she 's six and often rides eight miles with me, i built it to use. wink

Great Job!   How did you get the gyro on there.  I couldn't fit one on my sons jr performer.  the forks didn't seem to be long enough on the threads.

just pull off the bearing cups and grind 1/8'' off of each side of the head tube, fits perfect!cool

the 990 u brakes lock up the nos gt tires, one sound that's far worse than fingernails on a chalkboard!

GREAT Pic there....

A stunning build.  smile
Did you spray the paint your self? Or have it powdered by someone. I only ask because i kind of remember you saying you painter all your retro Masters your self too. smile
