1988 Al Carter "Navaho"

This is an Al carter bmx,I do not know which year as it seems impossible to find out. Will update if i find any information.

I bought this second hand several years ago as it had an interesting frame. Although its peeling off in places its bronze chrome plated, and i believe it to be full chromo as it's hardly rusted. As for the make, well knowbody seems to have heard of Al Carter cycles and its not listed on this site (yet). I realise techically it shouldn't be in the museum till i find more info. But here it is anyway.

Re: 1988 Al Carter "Navaho"

Hi
i worked in a cycle shop in the UK in 1994 where we sold these, they where very nice and i was torn between one of these and a DYNO COMPE (i chose the DYNO) they came as standard with 4 threaded pegs dia compe ad990 style rear brake and some 48 spoke large flange hubs and they sold for around £215

the frame finish was like a smokey chrome like DEMOLITION rims
I blagged a set of the wheels for my Dyno
