dang, lots of killer mid school haros here. I cant figure out why they haven't got their own thread before now. seems like one of the most overlooked era/make of bikes for the most part,. but the people who are fans of them are hardcore.

Re: Mid-School HARO THREAD - for those of us that love the midschool haro

allright, just found something I didn't even know existed but now that I have seen it I MUST OWN IT... big_smile  . anyone have or have seen one of these ? they have to be rare as all get out . chevron inverted stem, about half way down the page
http://i1320.photobucket.com/albums/u531/HaroSickness/Haro/haroreference_zpscaf24db6.png

ALSO... I have heard that the Heffer Pro rims were relabeled Alex supra rims ? can anyone confirm this ? I know Alex made them for Haro , but not 100% sure if theyre is any difference or not, and if they are the same, which model of the supra rims are they ?

Yeah the inverted stem is nice.  One was up for grabs here a while back.  I have heffers 3s are labeled "heffer 3" and some labeled "heffer 3 Alex". Great wheel too...

I haven't seen an inverted or blacked out Hevron for sale in the last 8 months on here or Feebay. Supposedly a member on here has a glass case full of every Hevron stem but when I asked for him to post pics nothing was posted.

Re: Mid-School HARO THREAD - for those of us that love the midschool haro

FIRST.... I would like to thank each and everyone of you who has contributed to this thread, even if its just a comment. there is some really cool stuff posted here, for sure. I really appreciate it. even though I haven't been able to reply to each and every post, trust me, were all glad you guys took the time to drop in and hope youll post more and keep coming back. even if you don't own a midschool haro but just like looking at and talking about them, its all good. Thanks guys.  very cool

I think they have a Heffer Pro model, that's the ones I was thinking were basically just the alex supras relabeled, with the really tall sidewalls. I saw some on fleabay awhile back, with the hubs I need that have the female axles. I wish I had the cash to grab them up then but no such luck.

Blackdiamonds, I don't know if im thinking of the same guy or not, but theres a member here I have talked to and im hoping he joins the thread soon, that has every chevron except 1 rare color at the moment in NOS still packaged condition. plus a buttload of midschool haro nos goodies. I mean a friggin stack. im not gonna out him though, if he wants to share im sure he will. seems like a very cool guy though. I don't know if he has the inverted though, I didn't ask because I didn't even know they existed at the time I talked to him.

BTW.. I was talking to another member recently, and we were talking cruisers. as far as im aware , the only midschool cruisers haro made were the bent top tube group 1 types, and the later backtrails. is this the case ? I was thinking it would be a neat build to take a backtrails cruiser and build it as a chrome blammo, supra or a candy apple red mirra pro cruiser. maybe a project for down the road. or maybe chrome olive green like the T-bone i posted. I friggin love that color.

theres a local friend of mine here in town that has a vintage bmx shop, and of course he collects as well. im trying to pry some of his haro stuff from him now... big_smile . he has 4 monocoques,  2 of the first gen and 2 of the 2nd gens, and a 93-94 group 1 xxl with the straight top tube. he also had a yellow supra for awhile but I didn't notice it last time I was in there, dunno if it sold or just was tucked away. hes got hundreds of bikes stacked, hanging, parked in rows, and up on stands everywhere. and a back room with so much stuff you cant even get past the front entry. I got my last 2 chevron stems from him for $20.00 each a couple months ago. I love that place. I should take some pics and post them, you guys would love the back wall... its all monocoques.

THIS THREAD BOO-BOO APROVED ...... lol

good imfo. . up until now I have been grabbing up the supra E's and supra j's to use on my builds, as soon as I recover from my recent round of spending im going to start looking for a few sets of these. I have always called the haro hubs with the female axles mega-nukes but according to some posts I came across recently I think theyre actually called Fat hubs. I also read a post where someone said they had heard the female axle bolts were notorious for snapping, has anyone else heard this ?

yeah, they are definitely cool. im gonna do some looking around this wek and try to find out if they are or are going to be available to us general publics type people.

FATBOY, nice little collection you have there. I did not like the monocoques when I first saw them but they have really grown on me this year, and now I really want one. its in my top 6 list  of must haves in the midschool haro family. and I have a real soft spot for T-bones, hoping to "inherit" one soon...big_smile . id like to grab up a aluminum version to.  and yeah, I hear ya on the "imaginary"collection thing to. I have noticed it seems a lot of people here act like if you don't have a dozen bikes posted you don't own any, bu tit seems the guys with the most amazing stuff very rarely show it off. im hoping to encourage some of them to bring that stuff out here as far as the M.S. Haro family is concerned. I have seen some pics of stashs of chevron ( is it Hevron or Chevron ? ) stems, big block pedals, grind discs in every color of the rainbow ( big_smile slight exaggeration, but every color made ) and fusion pegs, etc... that would just blow your mind.
