1982 Vector Mark 2

Super Early Survivor !! #149!!

Picked this up from the nephew of the owner of Vector rite here in Knoxville!  The chrome is perfect and brilliant! Super fast and light! What a great racer!
Did the refurb myself with the help of the tech/restoration section rite here on the BMX Museum! Got the Licensed reproduction decals from Joe AKA "12welvemonkeys".

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

Thanks James!
When I have time I'm gonna grab some spokes and polish the 7x's out.  They're in great shape. I just want them to blind me like the frame set does big_smile

This bike is sweet!! Love the fact that it has the right bars. It's home grown ALSO!! Just way to rad. Instant fav! I dig it. Great find.

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

Some updates to the bike.

ACS seat post clamp
GT lay back post
Old Dominator seat
Red Odyssey brake cable
Repop padset

I'm thinking of a set of red Z rims laced to my Phil hubs would really set it off. cool
Now if I can just find some wink

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

I have never had those bars on any of my Vectors.

Crazy how this shit grows on ya.

Next " Race " Vector I own WILL have those style Vector bars for sure.

Lovely bike and find sir!

One thing that I have seen over and over on the BMXmuseum is members willing to tarnish the reputation of another member by leaving nasty feedback before trying to resolve a problem like a reasonable human being.

In my 6 plus years as a staff member , this pisses me off almost as much as a scammer.

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

Thanks for reminding me that I needed to update the pics on the Vector.
I have been busy. New additions include.

NOS 1982 ACS Z-RIMS
COMP # skinwalls
Redline Cranks
Profile Spider Chromed
1982 Red Custom M Pedals
and a few other things.   I think I'm good on it now the search for an Unlimited Freestyle wink

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

Thanks Joe!  It's a keeper for sure!  We have it on display in our living room. Gets ridden around the living room and porch every day. big_smile
It amazes me just how light it is every time I jump on it.  I'll be riding it this weekend at Circle Yer Wagons VW show.  It's a show stopper ya know! wink

Re: 1982 Vector Mark 2

Just seen this up for sale, so thought I'd come over here for a closer look! I love these framesets anyway but think the faded red Zeds really sets this one apart - very cool and I hope it finds a good home!
