Re: For Those That Want To Talk About NEW SCHOOL FLATLAND !!!

here's my flatland set up. its also my street, park and go everywhere bike. 19.5tt, but i run nearly full offset fork and stem. bar with little or no sweep make's my wrists hurt something terrible, so i use Beringer bars. tight bends at the bottom and 10 degree's of back sweep. my wrists are happier nowadays! i use one bike for everything.

as far as frames for taller riders, S&M does offer the inTRIKat in 20" and 20.5" top tube length's.

Anybody got info on American made and not limited run, Flatland parts. I already got the intrikat goodies. Want some other brands too.

Also. Pedals.  I see KHe has those Mcs or whatever copies. Are they worth it? I've never had a problem with solid color twisted pcs. And they don't make my feet hurt. I like wide body, strong spindle, plastic pedals.

khe stimulators! i love them! i have bought them for years, until the price nearly doubled. luckily i have enough to last me til retirement. i did put a set of clear oddy twisted pc's on my ltd. ed. chrome intrikat. for the money, they cant be beat. half the price, and last just as long probably.

Hey Christian, i just realized...i think you just bought a set of KHE Tanaka forks from me on e-bay   They are the ones from the bike i just posted above. I ordered Chrome St Martin forks to replace these  ....They are on the way BTW

Thanks bro. Yeah, I had just put a WTB post on the museum and the next day ... BAM .... you had them posted. Just what I needed for the RIP. Thanks!

Roy,
I prefer "0" offset as well with the stem about 30mm, like the minimalist, and as high as it can go on the fork! smile

I also love the design of the KHE Swiss Miss Bars. I just hate that they are only 23 1/4" wide. At least they got it right with the new A-Blast bars and went 27 1/2" wide. Wider the better.

Wish someone would design a bar end that is actually an extender so as to give an extra inch or two to the shorter bars. Wow. I just noticed what I wrote .... "extender" "extra inch or two" . lol   Ha HA HA

if he rode that matyr frame, i would buy it in a second. i like the specs on it.

He rode the Matyr frame for about a year before his came out. They hold up well but like any light weight frame a pro will only get about a year out of them. The rest of us it will last a life time. Funny thing is some the know it alls should know that it is a Eastern built frame. Funny how these are nice and Eastern stuff is so called junk.

Re: For Those That Want To Talk About NEW SCHOOL FLATLAND !!!

Seamus had a sweet (what looked like a solid built proto) frame posted on my other forum. I wouldn't ever buy one. I would ever buy ANY Taiwan frame new.

And as for the Sunday. If that is just a post with the slide on seat guts. Yea ugly. Better off with getting a pivotal. Spend 1000 plus on a bike and have a shitty rod with old ass slide on guts, it's just no class.
Kinda like building a new school and putting Ame grips on them. Or 30 psi "race" tires. Or better yet.  Mag wheels and trying to run a 25/16 gear ratio and having every sort of lame excuse for your lack of intelligence.

Re: For Those That Want To Talk About NEW SCHOOL FLATLAND !!!

Those are cool! I was gonna say tree could do something like that with thread ons. I've always just found a junk pair or bars and tig welded extensions for people that screwed up bitd. I know i cut many of bars down.

I ride 29-30 wide bars for my bikes. And the intrikat bars are 27. I think I'll be alright.

Also with cranks......
Anyone ride 175-170s?????

175s work on my 92 Haro Master....On my Subrosa flatland DTT, I have to go with 165's. The pedals get too close to the front tire when the bars are spun around.

That's going to be a pretty tight fit depending on your shoe size. I was running 165's on my Intrikat with 1 1/2" tree pegs and was having problems hooking my heels on the rear pegs so I switched to 155's and they worked great !!! The Intrikat rides more like a street frame and handles well I think you'll like it.

Roy, have you checked out Mathias Dandois' new Haro setup? He's riding an SD V2 with a standard reach stem. If you plan on mixing flat and street this may be a good direction for you.
