Glad this ended up here on the museum. Can't believe this was found at an estate sale for less than $100! I know you didnt pay $100 but you got a steal on this  I was bidding on it to big_smile

cool to know the back story.  I was surprised that the bidding was not a lot higher when I found it on the last day of the auction.

Re: 1997 Haro Monocoque Elite

Every kid who grew up in the 90's wanted this bike, along with the parts set up.  Good find!!!  And if you find happen to find an extra BASE camo pad set on your search, let me know.  Always wanted a set also.

took the Haro out for a quick test ride at the local pump track.  Very different from my other bikes

Re: 1997 Haro Monocoque Elite

Wow, there was one near identical to that on CL here in VA this winter.  Nice bike and nice jumping!

Hutch Fun Facts: All main line Hutch's with digits only S/N (no letters or baseballs) on the rear drop outs were US made and had their dropouts stamped between late '83 and '86.  Obviously the frame manufacture would occur slightly after that, even if they just threw 'em in a bucket randomly.  There is an obvious date code in that the first 2 digits seem to be the month and the 3rd digit is pretty obviously the last digit of the year running from '83-'86.
