It's like asking who's the best band or what's the best food. It's hard to define "best". Innovative? Original? Difficult?
Anyone that has pushed the level of riding with their dedication and creativity in some way.
Kevin Jones
Chase
Martti
Simon O'Brien
Ross Smith
Viki Gomez
Nathan Pennonzek
This could be a long list....

A sight for sore eyes to the blind would be awful majestic. It would be the most beautiful thing that they ever had seen. It would cause such surprise, it would make all of their minds electric. How could anyone tell them that some things are not what they seem?

Re: Best Flatlander?
Im sure whenever you make a list its subjective and its generational....but its gotta be Kevin Jones Chase Gouin Mattii Kuoppa Mark Wilhelm Chris Bohm Daniel Kun Terry Adams and the heir apparent to his own Crown Matthias Dandois..everyone else is Qualifier, genius of the moment..serial Innovator, and follower of the Faith..each generation has had its shining light and then there is a myriad of very competitive winning riders on their Day within the Kore group(No pun intended)..i cant see how you can be fair. with this ..so i wont try...My fave rider of all time is DMC...and u wont enter him as any form of pure Flatlander...but there arnt many tricksters on the Planet that have done what he has done and is still goin..competing????.My new found friend of the last few years Rick(Richard Allison)..well he"s been known ride a bike and throw a trick or 2 and so many others that were the original Freestyle legends... So its a continuation of the pageant of endless trickery on a bike.... And therefore these are mine..Cheers Kev.

I love his fast aggressive style and agree that that is a killer edit, but it's not anything that hasn't been done before.

Agreed.
There are style differences between riders as well.
I love to watch CJ ride, but a rider who rides without pegs or brakes can't really be compared to one who rides with.
I enjoy watching TA as he is doing more street influenced riding, and I enjoy that.
MW is a beast and rides super fast, which I don't enjoy as much because I miss the details. But the guy is one of the best.
Might as well ask which is the best beer. But still a good discussion none the less. Just no "right" answers.

Re: Best Flatlander?
Id much rather watch any old school video of an average freestyle trick rider. Infinite tricks and creativity. Modern riding around on one wheel for 3 minutes does nothing for me.

Re: Best Flatlander?
All the other mentioned are good, I agree, real good but this dude just gave me goosebumps. His riding is fast his tricks are fast. Dudes serious. Hops into manual opposite footed(1 foot on other pedal) from nose wheelie or whatever

Here's seven minutes of pure technical insanity....
The last combo in this clip is pure art...
