Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
Solution: Download the Opera Mobile Browser, for your Android device. Then, you should be able to see all, of the embedded photos.
Update: Photobucket has sent me an email saying the problem is resolved, for Android users, if they want to use Chrome, or other browsers. They recommend clearing cache and cookie history, first. I have tried it myself and it is working.
Is anyone having problems viewing pictures, from their mobile device? I just started having problems the last few days. The pictures work fine, in the beta section, but in the old for sale and other forums, the photos are showing up as blue squares, with question marks. Also, ads are covering up the forum links, in the black square, on the left. The ads have a transparent appearance and it's difficult to see the links. The links don't move up and down, when scrolling, either. It gets stuck at the top, of the page and you can't see the links to use them, which, also, happens, on my computer. Everything else seems to work fine, from my computer, even thought my mobile is connected to the internet through the same router/modem. I'm trying to figure out, if the problem is my mobile device, or if other users are having similar problems. Thanks.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
Clearing the cookie history, on my moble, eleminated the ads covering the link/shortcut box, on the left. I'm still not sure why the blue question mark photo boxes are only appearing, on my moble and not my laptop despite using the same Wi-Fi connection. However, I am glad the staff is working to resolve the problem.

Photobucket has made some changes in their code; I wonder if other offsite picture hosting pages have done similarly.
I'd guess that PC Opera users have similar issues.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
Im havin the problem on an Android. Ive heard the Iphone is doing the same thing.
Maybe this will prompt the elimination of having to use a third party for uploading photos?! Since its happenimg on different platforms I would guess its this site or the image codes? Really need to figure it out.
I think its only photobucket? Some images show up... Maybe those are flikr or imageshack??

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
The problem is only, on mobile devices. They all show up fine, on my laptop. Somehow, websites can determine, if you are using a mobile device, but I'm not sure why there are problems, with this site. There hasn't been a problem, in the past. Obviously we can't view embedded pictures, on this website, with a mobile device. The pictures that have been downloaded, from PC's, show up fine. The question is weather the problem is, with this website, or the embedding code, from an external website. I just checked another website and I'm having the same problem else where. There is something wrong, with the embedding, from Photo Bucket. The next question is why is the problem only, on mobile devices. Time to talk, with the administrators at Photo Bucket and find out. If anyone is using Flicker or another photo hosting website, check and see, if your photos can be seen, on a mobile device.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
If you are using Google Chrome, view this link at Photo Bucket. I believe a Google Chrome extension or plug-in might be blocking the IMG code and blacking out the photos.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
There wasn't an extention or plug-in, for me to disable , in Google Chrome, so the above link probably won't help.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
Sorry guys. I thought I found the answer, but now I'm having the same problem, again. It worked for me earlier, after I followed the intructions at the Photo Bucket link. It's not just this site, but I'm having the same problem, on other sites, as well. It must be the photo hosting site, because I find it hard to believe the same problem exists, on different browsers. However, I don't understand why it only effects mobile devices.
Maybe, I should have posted this, in "catch all", so there would be more traffic. The mods and admin are being PM about this, from other users.

Re: Problems viewing pictures and links, from a moble device.
I checked with someone using a Droid through Verizon and he isn't having any problems viewing embedded photos. I doubt everyone having problems is, on the same network, but it could be a possibility. I'm not sure, if device type is an issue, but Androids have Java built in. Otherwise, Java isn't installed, on all devices and there is no mobile download version, of Java. I read somewhere that it's needed to view embedded photos, but I never had a problem, without it, in the past. I'm, on an Android based Samsung Galaxy S, using Google Chrome, but I cannot see the embedded photos. I have, also, tried viewing, with an ipod, using safari and I am able to view embedded photos, with that. So the question is: why are only certain phones having this problem? I have contacted Photobucket and it may be days, before I get a response, from them. Otherwise, I might be contacting my mobile provider, or device support, in the future. If anyone else has any ideas, or solutions, please advise. Thanks.

Agreed! Except I tried an ipod, with OS6, using Safari, and I was able to view embedded images. If all my devices are using the same WiFi connection, why does 1, of the 3 devices not work? It's the only device that, also, uses a 3G or 4G connection. Maybe, the type, of network, is an issue.
