Some guys will jack their prices to suck buyers in during the heat of the moment in seing all that old-school glory that takes them back to their childhood when their lives weren`t as shitty as they are now

thanx for the insight ! cuz i was thinking for items that i dont need asap and large,heavy and expensive pieces, i can wait till i visit the states and combine it with a show or two.

James, you know my prices are usually half off at the shows.  Only time my prices went up was when the guy wanted my GT, but told me it was a dime a dozen and was only worth half my asking price.

I think deals happen at shows due to the lack of shipping and fees.  Sometimes, people like me, start off with a set price and then drop prices or give great lot prices because we found something we wanted to purchase and either need a little cash to buy the new item or need to make room for the new item.  I can only bring what will fit in the back of my truck.  I have taken all of my spare parts to a few shows, one I could not give stuff away, two I sold a lot of stuff, and one I did not take anything, but brought a few things home.

I have a love/hate feeling for selling at shows.  You can make a little money and clear up some needed space, but you tend to have less time to enjoy the show.  It helps making friends at the shows.  At the last couple of shows Smoopy had in Tennesee, I could walk away and enjoy the show.  If someone saw something they wanted, friends like James would point me out or yell for me to return to my "vendor" spot.  I know not many places are safe enough to wander away without someone stealing parts, but the guys around here watch out for each other.
