I know everyone will want pics, but I just picked up a neon blue and black one, rear rim is tweaked and the price was right, just wanted to see if I need to restore it.

Wow nice 88. It doesn't look to beat on.
I have one of these also and they are rare. Very few with the original finish so i wouldn't restore if i didn't have to.
looks like you have most of the og parts.( at least the important ones) bars, stem ,cranks and brake /lever for sure.

Don't get caught up in the notion that since there are 'x number' of bikes on the museum, thats all that are known to exist. This isn't the 'end all-be all' of bmx collecting....I saw one of these yetserday in my tiny town being ridden by a teenage girl. Pretty sure it isn't on the museum's database.

I know but there still arent many. Also track that girl down and get that bike!

I usually try! Still looking for the vdc freestyle, looptail floval with alloy flange tuffs, and 24" Champion I have seen being ridden by kids or crackheads!!! I havent even hit up our scrapyards yet
